Cut-off time/Solo Everesting
The CUTOFF time for the SOLO EVERESTING athletes is 19h.
Rules on the road
Traffic Regulations
– Athletes must obey general traffic laws at all times, especially in road sections open to vehicles.
Safety Equipment
– Use of a helmet is mandatory in cycling sections.
– Reflective vests or lights may be required in low visibility conditions.
Checkpoints and Timing
– All participants must pass through control points; skipping a checkpoint results in disqualification.
Behavior on Roads
– Athletes must stay on the right-hand side of the road
Withdrawal Procedure
– Athletes withdrawing from the race must notify the organization immediately, either at a checkpoint or by calling the emergency contact.
Prohibited Bicycles and Equipment
– Electric bikes are prohibited (e-bikes)
Timed sections
Timing starts at the beginning of the climb section
– Timing ends at the summit of the climb (same point for the SOLO everesting, 2 different points for the Team everesting).
– Only the ascending sections are timed.
Neutralized Sections
– From the Festival to the beginning of the climb is neutralized.
– The descent from the summit is also neutralized.

– Used for positioning, not racing
This means participants must still complete the full course, but only uphill performance counts toward the challenge timing.
Are the roads closed to traffic?
Yes, they will be closed during the duration of the event.
Rules of competition – Key Points
Respect for Regulations
– All participants must strictly follow the official regulations and instructions from the organization and volunteers.
Physical Condition & Equipment
– Participants must ensure they are physically prepared and carry the mandatory equipment.
– Participants should provide prior the event a medical certification up for agonistic cycling exercise
Environment and Ethical Behavior
– No littering or environmental damage is tolerated.
– Respect for fellow athletes, volunteers, and the natural environment is mandatory.
Knowledge of the Route
– Athletes must be familiar with the route and follow the signs and GPS tracks provided by the organization.
Responsibility for Support
– External assistance is only allowed in designated areas. (Festival area)
– Unauthorized assistance may lead to disqualification.
Race Bib and Chip
– Must be worn visibly and properly during the race.
– Loss of chip or bib may result in non-ranking or disqualification.
Can I receive help from my friends during the race?
Only in designated aid/support areas. Assistance outside these zones may lead to penalties or disqualification.
Do I have to wear a helmet the whole time?
Yes, helmets are mandatory during all cycling sections.
What happens if I miss a checkpoint?
Missing a checkpoint may result in disqualification, as passing through all control points is required.
Is there a specific side of the road I should stay on?
Yes, always stay on the right-hand side and comply with local traffic regulations.
Can I leave trash on the course?
No. Littering is prohibited and may result in penalties or disqualification.
What if I can’t finish the race?
You must inform race officials at a checkpoint or through the emergency contact.
What do I do if I lose my race bib or chip?
Loss of chip or bib may prevent you from being ranked and could lead to disqualification.
